The Church of St Dominic offers Adoration of the Holy Eucharist from 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday to 7:30a.m. Saturday morning in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel (located to the right before the second set of doors at the main entrance).
Adoration is a centuries old prayer tradition of responding to Jesus’ request in the Garden of Gethsemane, “Would you spend one hour with me?” The hour in prayer is spent seeing Jesus “face to face” because the Holy Eucharist is exposed in a monstrance (Latin for monstrar, to show) placed on the altar. Set within the monstrance is a clear and circular glass case, called the luna (Latin for moon) which holds the Holy Eucharist.
Adoration is simply spending time in prayer, reading, reflecting, and giving thanks to God…in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. All are welcome – adults, youth, and children – to come and spend time with Jesus, receive grace, give thanks, and find joy.

Actualmente, la Iglesia de Santo Domingo ofrece la Adoración de la Sagrada Eucaristía desde las 9:00 am del viernes hasta las 7:30 am del sábado en la Capilla del Santísimo Sacramento (ubicada a la derecha antes del segundo juego de puertas en la entrada principal).
La adoración es una tradición de oración centenaria que responde a la petición de Jesús en el Huerto de Getsemaní: “¿Pasarías una hora conmigo?” La hora de oración se pasa viendo a Jesús “cara a cara” porque la Sagrada Eucaristía está expuesta en una custodia (del latín monstrar, mostrar) colocada en el altar. Dentro de la custodia hay una vitrina de vidrio transparente y circular, llamada luna (en latín, luna) que contiene la Sagrada Eucaristía.
La adoración es simplemente pasar tiempo en oración, lectura, reflexión y agradecimiento a Dios… en la Presencia Real de Jesucristo en la Eucaristía. Todos son bienvenidos (adultos, jóvenes y niños) a venir y pasar tiempo con Jesús, recibir gracia, dar gracias y encontrar gozo.
