Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is a two-year program of spiritual formation and study of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. For the 2019-2020 year, we are using DECISION POINT by Matthew Kelly for our confirmation program. View it online here: https://dynamiccatholic.com/confirmation
Students participate in the life of the church through Sunday Mass attendance, small and large group gatherings, community service, scheduled chapel visits, and retreats. The emphasis is not placed so much on receiving the sacrament as to enabling students to live their sacramental commitment after being confirmed.
Confirmation preparation is open to students entering Grade 9 and older. The two-year process begins in the Fall of Year I and is completed in the Spring of Year II.
Confirmation this year will be on Sunday, April 19, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Cathedral.
