“By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priests the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them. And indeed she exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ.” (CCC 1499)
Anointing of the Sick is available upon request from the priests at St. Dominic. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Fr. Gregory will only be visiting non-symptomatic patients in their home. Fr. Tim is able to visit those (non-COVID patients) near the end of life either at home or in care facilities, depending upon the protocols of the care center. Please call the Parish Office to arrange a visit from one of our priests or Archdiocesan priests trained to anoint COVID patients.
Two annual anointing services are also offered to the whole community at the church, one in the spring and one in the fall. Please check the bulletin for information when it is scheduled.
