High School Faith Formation

Our Confirmation preparation program is a 2-year program for 9th and 10th grade students that begins in the Fall of Year I and is completed in the Spring of Year II.  This program is open to students in 9th grade or older.  The formation includes small and large group study using Chosen: Your Journey to Confirmation, by Ascension Press. This program offers a nice balance of faith, fun and powerful videos featuring 14 of the top youth experts in the Church today.  Students will explore the Catholic faith in a way that calls them to really live their faith.  Year 2 students will also go on a Confirmation retreat.  

Our Confirmation students are also involved in the St. Dominic youth group.  After Confirmation, students are welcomed into the life of the parish. Opportunities include small groups, volunteering at Mass, being a Youth Leader or other parish ministries. 

Students must present their newly issued Baptismal certificate in order to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  For baptisms in the United States, on the registration form you will be asked to provide the month/year and church/city of your child’s baptism.  For baptisms outside of the United States, you will need to obtain a new baptismal certificate from the church of record and mail/bring it to the parish office by December 5, 2025.  

The date for the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation for Year 2 Candidates who will be confirmed in the spring of 2026 is determined by the Archdiocese and has yet to be announced.  Look for an update to this page in mid-summer.
