The Catholic Church welcomes new members & forms disciples for a lifetime relationship with Christ in the Church through the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). OCIA is a process of intellectual, spiritual, and moral formation that prepares individuals for initiation into the Catholic Church.
OCIA is the designed process for which people become full members of the Roman Catholic Church– those who have not been baptized; those who have been baptized in another faith tradition; and Catholics who were baptized but never received Holy Communion or Confirmation.
We welcome individuals at all levels of knowledge, faith and intent. Over a series of meetings involving talks and group discussions on a variety of themes pertinent to developing a broad understanding of our Catholic faith, these adults take time to properly discern the exciting possibility of journeying into full communion with the Catholic Church through one or more of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist).
