Altar Servers

- This ministry aims to enrich our children with true knowledge, deep appreciation and active participation with our Catholic Faith. We desire for our youth to start young in living a faithful life through serving at the Altar of God. It is a privilege to minister as an Altar Server at Mass, and we pray that it begins a great lifelong friendship with Jesus.
  The Altar Server Ministry is a very special group of young people in our parish who have answered God’s call to ministry. This ministry aims to enrich our children with true knowledge, deep appreciation and active participation with our Catholic Faith.
Interested in being an Altar Server?
- Any child, once they have received their First Communion, is eligible to assist at the Altar as a weekend Mass Servers. Training is provided. Servers are scheduled through the Ministry Scheduler Pro app, providing families a way to easily communicate availability for scheduling.
  Servers are expected to attend Mass regularly and be a member of St. Dominic Parish. Young people interested in becoming weekend Mass servers are invited to contact the Parish Office at 507-645-8816 or let us know though the "Get Connected" form.
  Students from St. Dominic School who have received their First Communion may receive training and serve at school Masses. Although encouraged, it is not required that they be weekend Mass servers. Students from St. Dominic School are generally called upon to serve for funerals on days when school is in session.
