Choirs and Music Program

The Church of St. Dominic has a strong tradition of quality liturgical music giving life to worship. We strive for active participation supported by the following groups:
Adult Choir
(high school, college, and adult; a choir of SATB voices)
* In session September through May
* Rehearses Wednesdays, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Joyful Noise Contemporary Group
(high school, college, and adult; instrumentalists)
* In session year-round
* Rehearses Thursdays 7:30-9 p.m.
Children’s Choir
(grades 2 – 5)
* Session I: October – December 2009
* Session II: March- May 2010
* Rehearses Wednesdays, 5:30-6:00 p.m.
Youth Music Ensemble
(singers and instrumentalists in grades 6-12)
* Leads music at six liturgies throughout the year
* Rehearses Monday prior to each liturgy, 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Handbell Choir
(high school, college, and adult)
In session September through May
Rehearses Thursdays, 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Resurrection Choir
(adults available for weekday and Saturday funeral liturgies)
In session year-round
Rehearses one-half hour before a liturgy
Members are on a roster and are contacted when needed
Cantor Ensemble
(high school and older; ability to read music is necessary)
Rehearse independently and then 30 minutes before a liturgy
Leads music once or twice a month at the 8:00 a.m. liturgy
Instrumentalists
(all ages; guitar, woodwind, brass, strings, percussion)
Rehearse independently and then 30 minutes before a liturgy
Accompany on a flexible schedule on weekends and holy days
